Job Description

Head of MarketingHybrid working from either Nottingham, Derby, Leicester or ChesterfieldC£50,000p.a. + bonus

The Company:ER Recruitment is excited to be working exclusively with the East Midlands Chamber of Commerce on this varied, all-encompassing, and vibrant role as it’s Head of Marketing. The position supports the design, development and implementation of the marketing strategyfrom events that deliver new business leads to CRM strategy delivering targeted campaigns and everything in between.Role & Responsibilities of the Head of Marketing:
  • Support the design, development and implementation of the Marketing Strategy to deliver events, ensuring quality lead generation and customer engagement in line with the business’ KPIs.
  • Collaborate on development and implementation of the CRM Strategy with the goal to maximise functionality for Marketing automation to deliver improved and targeted campaigns.
  • Continually review marketing and CRM analytics to shape the marketing strategy with a focus on what content drives the best engagement and response amongst different target audiences.
  • Work closely with the Data Quality Manager and contribute to discussions relating to customer data including collection, management, cleansing, protection, compliance and privacy.
  • Ensure brand message and identity is consistent across all channels and communications.
  • Keep abreast of relevant innovation and developments to ensure cutting-edge and effective marketing practices.
  • Carry out market research to understand, develop and manage target audience and to regularly report using data-driven insights to senior managers and partners.
  • Collaborate with other departments and project channel owners to align marketing activities, this includes shared learning, increase effectiveness, reduce costs and maintain brand messaging.
  • Lead the development, implementation and evaluation of a range of online and offline project-led marketing campaigns to generate new leads, event bookings and showcase the brand.
  • Ensure the Action Plans are up to date and to provide updates as necessary to the SLT.
  • Overseeing PR, communications, media strategy, core publication and video production.
  • Ensure websites are continually developed, maintained and relevant content is showcased.
  • Strive to continually improve quality and efficiencies by developing tools and systems to evaluate the delivery of services.
  • Manage relationships, briefing and management of marketing suppliers and agencies.
  • Line-manage, develop and performance-manage the marketing team.
  • Prepare and manage annual marketing budget and monitor monthly.
About You as the Head of Marketing:
  • Background in project-led delivery, tight deadlines and a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven experience of managing a marketing team.
  • Strong proactive stakeholder management and adaptive communication skills to engage, influence, negotiate and constructively challenge.
  • Proven record of analysing data and applying this to build insight that shapes marketing activities.
  • Experience of working with a diverse range of businesses.
  • Self-starter who thinks creatively, is innovative and finds new avenues for business generation.
  • Excellent organisational and administration skills.
  • Strong drive for results and a high level of resilience and motivation.
  • Technically minded with a high level of skill in Microsoft Office and Cloud based applications.
  • Full UK Drivers licence and access to own vehicle is essential.
