AASC East /West Midlands BasedSalary £35,000 + Company Benefits37.5 hoursCompany Vehicle providedHere at Serco we are looking for a qualified Electrician to provide specialist electrical expertise and guidance to the operation working in our Asylum Accommodation and Support Services Contract. AASC offers a range of improvements, with particular focuson assisting individuals through the asylum system. As our Electrician youll be a part of a team helping to ensure we maintain those properties to high quality and safety standards.The primary function of this role is to attend to works related to the role and support non-trade Maintenance Operatives to fix faults. The role requires close working relationships with the housing teams to ensure outstanding service to the users and tocomplete all relevant electrical works and certification.You willreport faults and defects to items of electrical plant and equipment and on a range of electrical systems such as power, lighting, fire alarms/panels and emergency lighting and you will undertake the certification and installation / repairs to emergencysystems. You will carry out PAT testing, inspect, test and investigate the performance of the plant and equipment installed in the site and produce related reports and recommendations as may be requiredYou will assist the other members of the maintenance team with their activities as may be required and be a team member of the Facilities Out of hours call out roster and you must also have a willingness and ability to travel within the region and occasionallywithin the UK.What you need to do the jobA full Driving Licence is required, and you must have C & G 18th Edition. You must also be qualified to C & G Electrical Installation Level 3 (2365), (2330) or equivalent and have experience in Domestic Dwellings. Fire and Emergency Lighting experience wouldbe a considerable advantage although not essential.
