Job Description

Required to start ASAPThe People Of: Tech are currently working with a leading retailer who is seeking a UX Designer to join their team. You would be joining the Digital Transformation Team to help create digital experiences for their customers. As UX Designeryou would be researching, designing and delivering the highest standard of UX and UI work for new development projects. You will be working closely with the UX Lead, Product Owners and Scrum Team to assist and ensure successful communication of concepts anddesigns.As UX Designer you will be responsible for:

  • Assisting with researching and defining the right experience for the project. This will include competitor/ comparative reviews, analytics & insights analysis, customer missions, experience mapping and sketching.
  • The production and delivery of all user journeys, user flows, sitemaps, wireframes, visual designs, high and low fidelity prototypes, user testing, sign off, documentation and hand over to technical build.
  • Ensuring all design work matches global experience coherency, accessibility compliance and all devices/channels are considered throughout.
  • Ensuring you are up to date with emerging technology, design patterns & trends.
As UX Designer you will have the following experience:
  • 3-5 years digital design experience, with a supporting portfolio of work
  • Relevant degree in HCI, interactive/multimedia design, computer science or similar (beneficial)
  • Responsive design
  • Designing for accessibility compliance to level AA of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines
  • Designing within brand style guides and design principles (beneficial)
  • App design (beneficial)
  • Ecommerce design (beneficial)
  • Agile and lean methodologies
