Job Description

Connectivity Engineer - Medical Technology & Devices Located: Anywhere in the UK - National TerritoryOpportunity:The opportunity to join a world-leading Medical Technology & Device organisation, specialising in; Cardiology, Vital Signs, SmartBed Technology and Surgical Solutions. Holding #1 status in many their respective markets.Set to revolutionize the Connected Care business on a global scale. After recently signing a global agreement with Microsoft & Apple and making huge advancements in Mobile/Cloud Based Communications platforms.Responsibilities:

  • Provide pre-sales technical assistance, conduct projects/site surveys and define implementation requirements including specific installation, training, networking and/or integration needs.
  • As required, perform project management and resources coordination for complex system implementations.
  • Responsible for deploying and implementing the connected solutions for all business units - Patient Monitoring, Acute Patient Safety and Surgical Solutions.
  • You will provide support to customers, service providers and sales, primarily related to the systems and solutions.
  • Perform both on-site as remote (in a hospital or clinical setting) activities such as:
  • Pre-Sales support delivering Proof of Concept to customers
  • Project management
  • Providing technical expertise in connecting HRC devices via customers (wireless) network to applications such as EMR and Nurse Call
  • Network troubleshooting (hardwired or wireless)
  • About You:
  • Excellent communication skills to clear understand customer workflow requirements and to accurately articulate HRC capabilities.
  • Customer and team oriented, with excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills: English is a must with optional another language
  • Wide understanding of networking (LAN, WLAN, RLAN, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of Wireless Protocols IEEE 802.11 (A B G N)
  • Working knowledge of MSSQL database
  • Understanding of the HL7 framework (and related standards) for the exchange, integration, sharing and retrieval of electronic health information.
  • Technical knowledge of wireless shielding issues in a medical environment.
  • Working understanding of the issues affecting medical device deployment in a hospital/clinical setting.
  • Exposure to the regulatory requirements laid out in IEC 60601-1-2, FCC Part 15.247 and EN 301-328
