Are you an experienced Quality Officer looking to join a fantastic brand with a reputation to match With an attractive salary on offer of up to £32,000 this permanent opportunity is to ensure effective quality assurance support to the quality manager& responsible person (RP) for the Good Distribution Practice (GDP) and ISO 9001 operations of the UK business to ensure compliance their clients, all external bodies and their own internal standards.Responsibilities:o Work closely with the Quality Manager / Responsible Person to ensure that compliance to the regulations are upheld.o Assist in the day to day management of the quality system to ensure compliance against GDP and ISO 9001 requirements.o Provide Quality Assurance (QA) support to initiate, engage and escalate critical and major compliance issues through QMS processes, including deviations, CAPAs and change control.o Manage and monitor the KPIs for the business, identifying trend areas and communicate to key stakeholders to drive improvement.o Co-ordinate audits in preparing and participate in hosting both internal and external audits with customers and regulatory authorities.o Support the maintenance of the annual supplier evaluation schedule to ensure compliance to process and QMS.o Support client onboarding and project implementations ensuring compliance to QMS activities including validation.o Liaise with all relevant stakeholders to ensure they are up to date and trained on QA systems, processes and changes.o Ensure that queries/issues are investigated and resolved including improvements, corrective and preventative actions in a timely fashion to minimise risks and costs.o Act as a quality assurance point of contact for the internal departments and customers to ensure compliance.o Previous quality assurance experienceo Experience of reviewing SOPs, working instructions and quality agreements for customers and supplierso Experience of working directly with customers and auditorso Presentation skillso Liaise with suppliers to ensure compliance to GDP activities and maintenance of GXP systems.o Support with the ongoing compliance with the European Quality System, report KPIs into EU QA team and attend monthly / quarterly meetings when requiredo Train and provide assistance to business functions on quality procedures, protocols, and documentationDesired Skills (though full training will be provided as necessary)o Experience and/or knowledge of Good Distribution Practice (GDP)o Experience and/or knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 13485o Experience within the medical devices, pharmaceutical or healthcare sectoro Experience in resolving customer complaintso Experience of deviation and CAPA resolutionEntry Criteria:o Excellent IT skillso Excellent communication skillso Previous Quality Assurance experienceo Strong attention to detailBehaviours:o Keen to take responsibility and able to work without supervision, promote the quality right first time cultureo Able to work with strict time pressureso Able to demonstrate a strong quality mentality, and understand that some things must be acted upon with urgency and immediacyo Excellent attention to detail, and patience with repetitive activitieso Enthusiasm and a confident personable mannero Well organised and reliableThe Quality Officer will attract a salary of up to £32,000 working Monday to Friday 08:30AM - 5:00PM.Interested Please click apply or call Hayley Whitehead and Birmingham Hagley Court Industrial Division today!
