Job Description

Seven Social Care are looking for a Temporary Young Peoples Worker based in East Lothian. This contract is initially for 3 months which is likely to be extended to 1 year.The role: This role will be supporting a young lady on a 2 staff to 1 young people ratio. Shift patterns are usually 2pm-9:30pm, sleepovers may be required. They are looking for someone to work 37 hours per week.Key Responsibilities:

By taking a lead with case/care planning management for individual children or young people, undertaking assessment of need, developing a care plan and identifying agreed outcomes and carrying out regular review in conjunction with children, young people and their families and other professionals.

By leading and working on shifts with accountability for service delivery, assessing and managing risks, deploying staff and resources accordingly while on the shift and to maintain personalised high quality care that is outcome focused for children and young people and apply agreed organisational procedures to ensure the safe care and management of children and young people in our care.

By supervising, guiding or directing staff and volunteers where required and provide mentoring to newly appointed staff

Applicant Requirements:

Qualifications: SVQ Level 3 in Childcare or Health and Social Care.

Experience: 2+ years working with Young People.

Compliance: Up to date DBS.

Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.

Hours: 37.5 hours p/w.
