Job title: Maintenance Technician Job location: East LondonHourly pay rate: £23.72 PAYE / £30.31 Umbrella (circa £50,000 per annum)Shifts: Panama Shift Pattern Days & NightsHours per week: 40 hours per week minimumStart date: ASAPIndustries considered: RAF, REME, Army, Navy, Marine, Avionics, Rolling Stock, Commercial/Industrial Electrics, Defence, Plant Engineering, SPM, HVAC, and Process EngineeringDisciplines considered: Electrical Engineer, Electrician, Avionic Technician, Aircraft Electrician, Electrical Fitter, Maintenance Fitter, and Breakdown EngineerCompany Summary: A global leader in Rolling Stock vehicle manufacturing, service and maintenance.Position Summary:Working as part of a team you will be required to undertake mechanical & electrical maintenance, repair and rudimentary fault finding and when required modifications on an Electrostar Fleet. Successful applicants will be responsible for ensuring that any maintenanceundertaken at the depot is done in accordance with the companies safety regulations. The exam technician will need to undertake detailed electrical and mechanical fault finding and investigation; this may include the following;* General duties will be fault finding, general maintenance, service preps, exam work* Using a Laptop to run a diagnostics check/ identify Faults* Following routine maintenance instructions and completing checks* Carry out basic Heating & Ventilation repairs* Hydraulic fault finding and rectification* Pneumatic fault finding and rectification* Bogie overhaul, damage repair and engineering* Wheel set repair and analysis* Bogie chassis, damage repair and clean* Driver seats* Wiper motors changes* Couplers changes* Actuators changes* Brake checks, repairs and replacements* Oil changes* Working with schematic diagrams * Axle greasingPerson Profile/Experience:* Previous use of Laptops to diagnose faults* Ability to work from maintenance manuals and schematics* Experience of Mechanical and Electrical fault finding* Experience of Mechanical and Electrical repairs* Troubleshooting and evidence gatheringQualifications:NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a Mechanical or Electrical engineering discipline is a minimum.If you would like to be put forward for the role then please forward a copy of your CV, qualifications and ID to the contact details below…Email: Phone: PLEASE NOTE ALL APPLICANTS MUST BE ABLE TO PASS A DRUGS AND ALCOHOL TEST BEFORE BEING OFFERED A POSITION.Please note due to the volume of applications, we can only commit to contact those candidates we deem suitable for the position.
