Computer Science Teacher

A Computer Science Teacher needed in a Coeducational Secondary School in East London.This Computer Science Teacher role will be full time and long term.Teaching for this Computer Science Teacher post will be for KS3 to KS5.Standard teacher responsibilities will apply to this Computer Science Teacher position. These include but arent limited to; planning lessons, assessing pupil progress and attending regular meetings/parents evenings.In addition to this, the school is keen to take on a Computer Science Teacher that can work as part of team, use their time effectively and uphold the schools ethos.The rates of pay for this Computer Science Teacher post will range from £160 to £260 a day, depending on each applicants qualifications and experience.The SchoolThere is currently no Ofsted rating for the school, as it has only recently opened.A heavy focus is placed on Grammar at the school.Students are entered in to GCSE and EPQ qualifications.From Year 7 to Year 11, all pupils learn the 3 Core Sciences, English, Maths, Ethics and Sports.At 6th Form level, all pupils must take up a Maths and Science course. They must then choose two more subjects from Philosophy, Economics, Humanities, Latin, English Literature or Art. The reason for this is because the school wants to produce future scientists,medics and engineers.Currently the school is split across two different sites that fall in two neighbouring boroughs, with one acting as the main site for lower school and the other acting as the upper school site.RequirementsYou are encouraged to apply if you are a newly qualified Computer Science Teacher or experienced Computer Science Teacher.Applications are also welcome if you are a British trained Computer Science Teacher or overseas trained Computer Science Teacher.All applicants must have the following criteria in order to be considered for this position as a Computer Science Teacher:
  • UK QTS or equivalent
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Clear and updated Enhanced DBS
  • Experience as a Computer Science Teacher in UK Secondary schools
