Job Description

Mechanic/Vehicle Technician | East Kilbride | Full Time | £30k +dependant on experience OTE Mechanic/Vehicle Technician An independent garage located in East Kilbride that carry out car servicing, MOT’s and general repairs is currently seeking a Mechanic / Vehicle Technician to join their team on a full-time permanent basis! They are a local garage with dealer capable diagnostics and all modern ramps, tools and equipment, their company has been trading since 2005, they are now seeking an experienced mechanic to continue their growth and expansion. The garage is conveniently locatedin East Kilbride covering the local area and the south side of Glasgow,

  • The ideal candidates will be experienced in routine maintenance and repair of all makes of car and light commercial vehicles,
  • You must have the ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team as required and be able to complete the necessary documentation required.
Duties include:
  • Assessment of vehicles, including driving vehicles
  • Conducting servicing, timing belt and chain changes, general assessments, and diagnostics of vehicles
  • All general repairs of the vehicle
  • Must be capable of carrying out small and major repairs.
  • General housekeeping and maintenance of work areas
  • Mot tester preferred but not essential.
Desirable Criteria:
  • Solid experienced mechanic, used to dealing with a range of vehicles.
  • NVQs Level 1, 2 and 3 in Motor Vehicle repairs or a similar qualification.
  • Full UK driving license
  • 20 days holiday plus bank holidays

  • closed between christmas and new year not, deducted from statutory days
