We specialise in all areas of asphalt, aggregates, earthworks and concrete from initial production to verification on site and within our purpose-built in-house laboratory.We are looking for a Senior Operations Manager to join our growing team. Are you a self-motivated and goal-orientated individual Have you experience of management and leadership within a Laboratory and/or the construction industry Then this role is for you!The role of the Senior Operations Manager is to operate as the link between the Directors, the Departmental Managers and the Customers. To oversee all processes from taking an order through to issuing invoices in a timely manner and to ensure that there is a continual workflow between departments.Your key tasks will include:- Leadership and management of the day-to-day operations of the management team across site, laboratory and administration departments.- Set comprehensive goals for business growth and success across all departments.- Setting objectives and deadlines across the management team.- Performance reviews and appraisals.- Follow up with direct report to ensure they are in line with their Key Performance Indicators.- Establish policies and procedures that promote company culture and vision.- Overall project management.- Overall H&S and compliance responsibilities across the company.- Maintaining UKAS accreditation.- Ensure continuous workflow between departments, working closely with their team to manage resource planning.- Manage differing priorities to ensure that the weekly, monthly and quarterly goals are met.- Handling customer queries – speaking to customers at a technical and commercial level.- Production of management information, producing and presenting it to the Directors on a monthly basis.We are looking for an exceptional individual with the following skills and experience:- An individual with strong management and leadership experience with a background of Laboratory testing procedures and an understanding of the construction industry.- Experience of working with Quality performance and procedures.- A commercially aware individual with experience of cost control.- Experience of working within a fast-paced environment on fast paced projects.- An up-to-date Health & Safety qualification (SMSTS or IOSHH).- Ability to hit deadlines and milestones.- Strong people leader with the ability to inspire others.- High levels of diplomacy.- Customer focus experience.- Strong communication skills.- Attention to detail.- Strong positive mind set and a can-do attitude.You may have experience of the following: Operations Manager, Operations Supervisor, General Manager of Operations, Strategic Manager etc.,No terminology in this advert is intended to discriminate on the grounds of gender, race, disability, age, sexual orientation, religion, or belief, and we confirm that we will gladly accept all applications.
