Job Description

DC Personnel are recruiting for a permanent Fettler position based in Leicester.Pay rate -£10.47 – £12.68 per hour DOEPay will be determined during the skills test in the interview.Day shift – 6-2 & 2-10 weekly rotational shift pattern.Location – East GoscoteJob Overview:Grinds and sands metal products to remove defects, press marks, or rough spots: Grinds, brushes, or scrapes surface of metal product to remove rough spots, press marks, and defects, using power grinder.This position works in a production environment with the risk of injury. Some safety equipment must be worn when working with equipment in the shop. Bending, lifting and pushing heavy steel is required.Reporting directly to the manager, your role will include:Fettling, Grinding, Deburring, Polishing of metal components.Fettling components to clean finishes.Liaise with Production Manager to ensure jobs are completed on time.Read, understand and be able to work from drawings.Clean and maintain work area and equipment.Use various hand tools.Operate within safety guidelines and any operating proceduresExperience:Significant experience working with sanders, air saws, hand grinders and other standard hand tools.Good Attention to detail.Good numeracy and literacy skills.Ability to work independently or part of a teamConscientious, reliable, with good attendance and timekeeping standardsHonest, trustworthy, and able to work unsupervised.Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.Willingness to learn and acquire new skills, and respond positively to feedback.Flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to work calmly under pressure.If you are interested and want to hear more, you can click apply below and send through your application and a member of the DC Personnel team will be in touch with you.DC Personnel are acting as an employment agency in relation to this vacancy.
