Job Description

When youre starting out your HR career, its always handy to get experience in different environments - be those different businesses, supporting different client groups or trying your hand in a specialist role. Above all of this though, if you are giventhe opportunity to develop your experience in a small team, as part of a growing business that are investing in HR - you should grab it with both hands. This just so happens to be one of those roles.HR AdministratorNorth LeicesterPermanentHybrid workingUp to £25,000Although there are plenty of HR Administrator roles out there, its sometimes tricky to decipher which ones are the genuinely great ones, and why they should grab your attention. You wont just have to trust me that this is one of the great ones - youll knowit when youve walked the office and spent some time with your line manager to-be.Following a period of growth, despite pandemic challenges, our client are anticipating continued growth and, to support the growing headcount of the business, are looking to bring in a couple of new heads into the HR team, one being this HR Administrator position.Reporting to the HR Manager (who actually joined during the last 12 months), youll be reporting into not only a great HR professional, but also a brilliant coach and mentor who will, no doubt, help you to achieve your goals and progress your career. Beyondyour direct line manager, youll be joining an HR function and business that has a modern, family feel - small enough that youre far from being a number and can get exposure to all aspects of the business, but a real contemporary business in terms of approachto work, how they operate and the leadership styles. As far as the remit of the role goes, youll be supporting the HR Manager with broad, generalist HR Administration and coordination activities. Youll be the first port of call for any employee queries coming to the HR inbox and will be custodian of peopledata within the HR system. Youll support the recruitment manager with coordinating interviews, issuing contracts and general onboarding, as well as owning processes for any leavers or internal moves. Youll support the HR Manager with the monthly payrollprocess, training coordination and a whole of host of projects and initiatives the HR team will be looking to deliver - not an exhaustive list, but this will likely cover well-being and employee engagement activities.Sound like the right move for you Youll need to have a couple of years experience in an HR role, ideally within a commercial setting, and be comfortable working in a hybrid environment (self-managing, and a strong communicator across all media and in person). Youll have a base level understandingof the type of policies and processes youll be working with as being part of a generalist HR function and will be computer literate (ideally with some experience of HR systems).
