Ready to find the right role for youJob Title: Operations TechnicianSalary: £32,336.23 + Bonus + Excellent Veolia Benefits PackageLocation: Edinburgh, West Lothian, The role will require flexibility to travel and work at any of the 4 sites , Newbridge, East Calder, Whitburn and Blackburn.Hours: 37 hours per week - Monday to Thursday 7.30am - 3.30pm and Fridays 7.30am - 3pmAdditional: Participate in the operational standby rota.When you see the world as we do, you see the chance to help the world take better care of its resources, and help it become a better place for everyone. Youll be working under your own initiative, mostly without direct supervision, to ensure that the Wastewater Treatment works you operate meet regulatory and contractual compliance.Because of our responsibility when it comes to leading change, resourcing takes every single one of us, and this is how you can play your part. And if youre an experienced Technician this role will suit you perfectly.What will you be doing

• Optimisation and Maintenance of all processes and assets across all local wastewater sites.
• Carry out on-site sampling and analysis.
• Report directly to the working Supervisor on all aspects of site operations, compliance and efficiency.
• Manage and support the cooperation with contractors.
• Respond to alarms and adverse developments.
• Responsible for the completion of planned preventative and planned corrective maintenance in the assigned operational area and the accurate and timely completion of work orders and associated documentation.
• Provide technical support/feedback to senior members of the maintenance and operations teams to facilitate capital work interventions.
• Participate in a proactive manner in teamwork activities and be responsible for providing technical assistance to all site teams.
• Report accurate data into the computerised maintenance management system or other IT package as required.
• Provide up to date asset information.
• Ability to make and manage high risk confined space entry.
• Manage on-site activities through the correct use of all relevant Permit to Work systems.

What are we looking for

• Wastewater network processes, risk assessment and method statement training and a confined space qualification.
• Full UK driving licence is required.
