Project Coordinator required for a 12 month maternity cover contract in South Tyneside. This is an accounts role, providing a cost analysis function for large construction/engineering jobs.The RoleResponsible for the following categories of work as directed:To provide financial & administrative support to project managers by ensuring that all Projects/CTRs have the following documentation in the project files:a. Approved project/Cost/Time/Resource (CTR) budgetsb. Customer Purchase Orders (POs)c. Supplier POs & InvoicesTo assist Project Managers (PMs) by preparing reports showing Project/CTR Costings v Job Budgets to monitor Project/CTR progress to date and allow PMs to estimate costs to complete.Prepare draft invoices complete with backup for approval by PMs and Finance.Ensure change control is rigorously implemented on assigned project(s) to protect the company’s commercial position and reputation.Progress customer payments by following up with customer administration to ensure invoices are approved for payment 10 working days prior to due date and follow up as appropriate until payment has been received.Maintain project cost control filing system in accordance with the project/corporate numbering system, where appropriate.Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements and reports by reviewing project costs & revenues to date with PMs to provide Finance project status information for inclusion in the Group Accounts.Contribute, where necessary to monthly project and accounts review meetings.Assist PMs with production of monthly project based revenue forecasts including monthly cost accruals.Assist the Director, Marine Equipment and the Project Director, OPE in the preparation of annual and quarterly budgets for their respective business streams.Assist in the development and implementation of improved financial reporting formats using the company’s accounting software package - Pegasus Opera.Carry out internal financial audits to ensure that all work is carried out in accordance within agreed Management System and Procedures.Experience RequiredCandidates will ideally have worked within an Accounts/Costing function within Engineering/Construction, and be qualified to ATT Level 4 (however, candidates with substantial relevant experience only will also be considered).Remuneration£24,000 per annum.This is a permanent position and Corepeople Recruitment Limited will be acting as an employment agency for permanent recruitment on behalf of our client.By applying for this job you accept the T&Cs, Privacy Notice and Disclaimers which can be found on our website.
