Job Description

A charity that is dedicated to supporting the people of the automotive industry is looking for a Night / full-time / part-time / night shift / zero-hour contract Carer to join them at their residential, nursing, dementia and respite care centre in Easenhall, Rugby. You will be joining them at their purpose-built, state-of-the-art centre which is set in 20 acres of mature woodland and landscaped grounds and will receive a range of benefits including 31 days holiday including bank holidays, contributory pension scheme, an onsite café, life assurance and discount on certain car brands. As a Carer, your responsibilities will include:- Deliver person centred care to meet residents’ personal, nutritional, social and emotional care needs ensuring their involvement in all aspects of their well-being.- Provide an appropriate level of assistance to residents in respect to their personal care needs including dressing, undressing, bathing and toileting, whilst maintaining maximum independence for residents.- Provide an appropriate level of assistance to residents to meet all aspects of their nutritional needs including, feeding, promoting choice, preferences and independence.- Encourage and support residents to participate in activities and engagement opportunities that are person centred and specific to resident’s level of physical, emotional and cognitive abilities.- Complete and update Resident’s care plans, medical records and other records as directed by the House Leader or Day Care Lead or Home Care & Resident Liaison Leader (dependant on location).- Support new residents, their families and visitors to settle in at the Centre / Village and encouraging them to feel at home.- Work within the required Care Quality Commission (CQC) standards / company policies and procedures at all times.We are looking for a Carer who has the following skills and experiences:- Previous experience in a care role is preferred but not required as full training will be provided.- An NVQ Level 2 or equivalent would be beneficial but not essential as training and the opportunity to gain a recognised care qualification is provided.- Strong interpersonal skills, empathy and compassion.- The ability to assess an individual’s needs in order to address the cause and not just the symptom.The home supports individuals to navigate through life’s challenges, empowering them to make positive, lasting change working with people to improve their lives by enhancing their health and wellbeing through its free and confidential online self-help, helpline and support services.
