Job Description

Cook RequiredSeeking a Full time and permanent Cook to prepare food for children , breakfast, lunch and supper and work Monday - Friday , day time hours only/ This position will involve assisting head cook. Ideally suit someone with previous experience as a cook usingfresh ingrediants and is happy to work with children, previous experience with food hygiene.NVQ cooking qualification would be desirable , or overseas cooking qualification but not essential.Qualifications:- Previous experience as a Nursery cook or in a similar role is preferred, but not required- Knowledge of food safety practices and procedures- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Starting salary: £26,000 - £30,000 a yearShift and schedule8 hour shiftDay shiftMonday to FridayDuties and Responsibilities include:- Prepare and cook food items according to recipes and quality standards- Adhere to all sanitation and food safety regulations- Maintain a clean and organized work area- Collaborate with the team to ensure timely and efficient food preparation- Assist with inventory management and ordering of supplies- Follow proper cooking techniques and presentation guidelines- Monitor food stock levels and communicate any shortages or discrepancies- Washing up and maintaining a clean working space between meals and after meals.If you are passionate about cooking and enjoy working in a team-oriented environment, we would love to hear from you.
