Domestic Assistant / CleanerLocation: Bradstow School, Broadstairs, Kent CT10 1BYSalary: £10.79 per hour (FTE £22,443)Contract: Part time, PermanentHours: Monday - Friday 6.30-8pm, see below for specific shift times (This is subject to change to meet the needs of the business and you will be given notice before any changes are made.)We are seeking a Part Time Domestics Assistant to join us in Kent!Bradstow is a creative and unique residential school for children between the ages of 5 & 19. We have 2 posts the hours are either:Laundry Assistant 15.5 hours 3.30pm - 6pm (Monday & Tuesday) 2.30pm - 6pm (Wednesday - Friday)Morning Cleaner: 12.5 hours 6.30am - 9amCleaner / Laundry Assistant - The Role:The post holder will be required to provide a comprehensive cleaning and laundry service for the school and the homes ensuring that the areas of work allocated are cleaned to the required standards as set by the school.Key Duties include;

• Mending and altering of young people’s clothes including hemming, lengthening.
• Making and repairing of the soft furnishings within the homes, i.e. curtains, cushions, bedding etc.
• Liaise with care and education staff to determine the needs of the young people.
• Making of costumes for school events when required.
• To maintain all equipment and to ensure it is regularly serviced
• To purchase materials and equipment liaising with line manager
• To assist with cleaning duties when required this includes mopping, hoovering, dusting & laundry.
• Working safely ensuring to use correct signage, personal protective equipment and cleaning chemicals and being mindful of hazards to staff and young people.
• Any other duties commensurate with grade as directed by Line Manager or Senior Management
