Job Description

Administration AssistantSalary NJC point 4 which is £19,264 per annum (pay award pending)Full-timePermanent (37 hours per week, for 52 weeks per year)Required: ASAPSet in the village of Duffield, in the Amber Valley district of Derbyshire. We are centred on the western bank of the River Derwent at the mouth of the River Ecclesbourne. Duffield is within the Derwent Valley Mills World Heritage Area and its elevated surroundingsare the southern foothills of the Pennines.We are looking for an experienced administrator who is enthusiastic, well organised and caring with excellent communication and administration skills. You will be joining a welcoming and supportive administration team who ensure administrative requirementsare effectively provided for all teaching and support staff on site.Essential Skills:

  • Have a flexible approach and be able to work effectively in a team
  • Be positive, inclusive and understand the importance of confidentiality
  • Be self-motivated and able to use own initiative
  • Be able to confidently and courteously deal with the public, students and other members of staff in person, by email and by telephone
  • Be highly computer literate in usual office applications
  • Be committed and enthusiastic
  • Be able to support students and administer minor first aid (training will be provided)
The position is for 37 hours per week, working each Monday to Friday from 9am until 5pm with a 30 minute break. Were keen to hear from people who would like to work for 52 weeks per year or those who are looking for a term-time only role.Salary will be paid at National Joint Council point 4 which is £19,264 per annum (pay award pending and expected to be £21,189 per annum following national agreement), this would be pro-rated for a term-time only role.In return for your hard work, we offer 33 days paid holiday per year (including statutory and concessionary days) rising to 37 after five years and immediate membership of the Local Government Pension Scheme.
