Architectural Metalwork Installer / Crew LeaderLocation: Based out of DH2 1AG but working on sites Mostly North East England. Very occasionally required to work further afieldRate: £400 to £520 per week depending on experienceContract: PermanentStarting: ImmediateHours: Normal hours of work are 39.5 hours a week, Daytime, Monday to Friday + overtime opportunitiesFlexible working and generous holiday package.Description:Steelcraft Ltd has been trading for over 30 years. They manufacture and fit a range of mild and stainless steel architectural metalwork (railings, gates, balustrade, handrail, balconies and staircases).Installation staff work in teams of 2-3 consisting of a crew leader and 1-2 labourers. We are looking to appoint a new Craftsman / Crew Leader. You should be an experienced or time-served installer capable of installing the products listed above. Experience of fencing, steel erection or balustrade fitting would all be of use.You would be expected to carry out a safe, high quality installation with the effective supervision of your supporting labour. You will be expected to communicate with the rest of the team for both planning and progress tracking, as well as liaising with site management and other trades during the course of installation. Install teams are also the last line of defence in our quality process, and are expected to ensure a high-quality finished product is handed over to the customer.In addition to a background in metalwork, the successful candidate will have, a keen eye for detail, a quality focus, and good communication and teamwork skills.Experience & Skill Requirements:* Architectural Metalwork Installation Experience - essential* Full Driving Licence - essential* CSCS Card - will be provided if not already held* (SMAW) Stick Welding - highly advantageous* MIG and/or TIG Welding - advantageous* Further specialist training such as SSSTS, PASMA, IPAF etc. - advantageous but will be supplied where not already covered.Please click Apply to forward your CV and ensure you include a cover letter for your application to be considered.
