Job Description

Machine Operative with Counterbalance Forklift LicenceWe are recruiting for Machine Operative with Counterbalance Forklift Licence in the Driffield area. Our client specialise in grain milling and flour milling.As a Machine Operative with Counterbalance Forklift Licence you will need to have:

  • A valid license/certificate to operate FLT trucks (Counterbalance) - R.T.I.T.B or Equivalent
  • Experience in dispatch or warehouse environment would be beneficial
  • Experience of running production lines desirable.
  • Ability to work full time, on two rotating shifts
  • Good level of spoken and written English
  • Own or shared transport to get to site
    • Details:
  • Salary: depending on experience £9.25 - £10.25 per hour
  • Working Hours of Machine Operative with Counterbalance Forklift Licence are DAYS working 6am- 5pm and 10am- 9pm (shift rotation so candidate needs to be flexible)
  • Location: Driffield
  • Duration: Ongoing
    • Role of a Machine Operative with Counterbalance Forklift Licence:
  • Adhering to onsite health and safety regulations
  • To keep the pallet magazine supplied with empty pallets.
  • To discharge finished pallets of flour from the palletiser with some hand stretch wrapped.
  • Put away pallets into the relevant warehouse space.
  • To keep the packer supplied with empty sacks.
  • To transfer the relevant flour from the silos to the packer using the relevant panels and computerised scada controls.
  • To operate the BTH packer at the required speed.
  • To carry out routine Metal detector checks on the line.
  • To carry out relevant sampling of the flour for each batch.
  • To keep relevant packing records of production.
  • To keep the packing area tidy and clean to the relevant site standards.
