Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for Group Procurement Assistant to join a well-established and successful food manufacturing company based in East Yorkshire. Reporting into the Group Procurement Manager the Group Procurement Assistant will be responsiblefor supporting the Group Procurement & UK Site Teams in sourcing and procuring of materials.In the Group Procurement Assistant position, you will be responsible for:

Procuring materials to ensure UK sites continue to run
Supporting the Procurement Teams in the UK
Developing of relationships with suppliers
Sourcing alternative suppliers and building relationships
Assisting the Group Senior Procurement Manager in key projects

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar procurement role and you should have strong business acumen and he highly consumer focused. The role offers someone the opportunity for further career development within the Procurement teamand would suit a driven and highly motivated individual. You should be highly organised and have strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong IT skills are also essential. There will be an element of regular travel as part of this role and so the suitablecandidate must be flexible and prepared to travel.This role offers an attractive salary £30,000 - £35,000 and attractive benefits including 25 days holiday plus bank hols.
