A newly formed insurance business offering small and large business insurance, employee benefits and risk management.

They utilise modern thinking and the smart use of technology to enhance the client experience.

The Role:

The role of Head of Risk and Compliance reports to CFO and is available on a 12/18 month fixed term contract to cover maternity.

The role is to oversee the management of Risk and Compliance within the Group, ensuring minimum regulatory and professional standards.

Further Responsibilities Include:

Define a structured approach to risk management and compliance, develop and implement the group’s risk and compliance strategy.

Review and update internal policies and practices and create the compliance framework which allows the business to proactively manage regulatory risk.

Deliver in-flight policy and training business critical projects to group standard.

Support the CFO in delivering day to day management of conflicts of interest and other compliance topics.

Ensure that the stakeholders are properly informed on the groups risk and compliance position through regular reporting.

Work from home (occasional travel)

Key Skills/Experience Required:

Strong compliance experience from the insurance broking sector.

Highly organised with the ability to deliver policy and training projects.

Proven ability to negotiate and influence.

Good management and leadership skills.

Professional qualifications would be advantageous.
