About the CompanyC4S Search are currently working with a company near in Somerset who are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join their manufacturing team.Responsibilities and Duties:- Understand and reinforce company policies and procedures (Health & Safety regulations, Risk Assessment, Company Quality, Environmental systems, etc).- Maintain the culture of mutual respect through positive attitude and respect- Testing and replacement of obsolescent consumables.- Pushes the implementations of CI and Lean practices- Leads PFMEA and capability/repeatability improvement activities- Uses the best manufacturing practises from across G&H in their responsibilities overall and within NPI- Evaluate and identify improvements in manufacturing processes to better the workflow- Leads the development of new processes/ machines, improvement projects- Leads projects to improve quality, cost and efficiency against tangible results- Responsible for specification or the support of, and commissioning of new manufacturing equipment (CAPEX)- Actively involved in design for excellence (DFX) input to new productsAbout You:To be successful within this role, you will have skills and experience with:- Degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent- Or Working Experience matching expectations of role- Flexible (ability to put work first to meet project deadlines)- Capability and willingness to learn and implement new skills and processes- Experience participating in PFMEA/control plan development- Experience of lean manufacturing and six sigma- Strong experience within manufacturing engineering teams within a NPI environmentSalary:£30k to £35kBenefits:- 26 days holiday plus bank holidays- Company pension pays 6%- Company bonus scheme- Onsite parking- Cycle to work scheme- Employee Assistance Programme- Long service and staff recognition awardsHours:8.30-16.30 Monday - Thursday8.30-16.00 FridayIf this sounds like it could be of interest, please send your C.V through to C4S Search for consideration.If this role is not the perfect fit for you please upload your CV to the C4S Search website, we have a number of technical vacancies currently that could be your next dream role!
