Job Description

My Client are looking for a Registered Nurse on a Part Time basis to start ImmediatelyThey are a prestigous private hospital who offer the following procedures to patients:

Laser Eye Surgery
Lens Replacement
Cataract Treatment

You will be responsible for participating in all aspects of the Ophthalmic service at Optegra, including surgery. Provide excellent care to all patients, with specific responsibility for diagnostic testing, pre-operative assessment, peri-operative and post-operativecare in the surgical and refractive suite of the hospital, and assisting with minor operations.Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Use clinical judgement and analytical skills to pro actively identify potential problems during clinical pathways
Work alongside Consultants supporting them and delivering excellent care to Patients
Provide pre & post ope instructions to patients utilising effective communication
Provide clinical advice for patients
Administer drugs and treatments as prescribed according to the NMC guidelines.
Maintain effective levels of communication to patients, relatives, carers, visitors, staff and others
Help to Contol and minimise teh risk of cross infection by following all procedures, policies and guidelines
Observe patient confidentiality at ALL times in accordance with the Data Protection Act (1998)

Experience Needed:

Minimum of 12 Months experience working as a Nurse in the UK within Ophthalmology, thatres, general surgery or Outpatients
Valid NMC Registration
Computer & IT skills and a good working knowledge of microsoft office
