Summary Be Caring Liverpool is looking for hardworking and passionate individuals to join our community home care services; providing care and support to people so that they remain independent and live happy, fulfilled lives. You will provide person-centred care, which promotes independence through enabling approaches and connecting people to local groups and services. Additions As a block driver you will be paid from start to finish, not per call, on an agreed working pattern, earning £18,720 for a 40 hour week or £9,360 for a 20 hour week (£9/hr) - 40p per mile Eligibility Required Full DBS check carried out by Be Caring Experience Required Previous care experience is not essential; we are looking for people who can live our values.We provide full training and support for everyone who joins Be Caring, which includes comprehensive induction training on; community and individual wellbeing, fluids and nutrition, medication, moving and handling, basic life support and first aid, infection prevention and control, professional boundaries, safeguarding, health and safety, equality and diversity. The Role As a Community Home Carer, you will be kind and compassionate, building caring and supportive relationships with the people you support and their families. You will deliver personalised care and support to people in their homes. You will place dignity at the heart of the care you provide, maximising independence through enabling approaches and building care and support networks for individuals, involving family and friends and their local community.We are looking for people who can work independently and as part of a team. You will be empowered to make decisions that improve the lives of people we support. We need people with strong communication skills, who can respond quickly to situations and share relevant information appropriately.Typical care and support tasks within a care plan include; personal care, including intimate care, administration/prompting of medication, preparation of meals/drinks, completion of domestic tasks, including laundry, cleaning and shopping, and promoting access to, and attendance at community groups and activities. We offer supported learning and access to accredited qualifications through apprenticeship programmes.If you are successful in appointment of this position, you will be supported by your local Quality and Co-ordination team and our in-house Trainer, to ensure you have tools and resources needed to do fulfil your role and to Be the Best you can be’.You will be supported to complete; induction training (paid) classroom trainer led and online e-learning at home, Care Certificate (completed over a 12-week period), Level 2 Health and Social Care qualification (fully funded after six-month probation period) and additional level 2 and 3 accredited qualifications and certificates relevant to the role.
