Job Description

Are you an experienced Security Systems EngineerAre you looking for a new challenge If the answer is YES, the team at OLS Ltd could have the ideal role for you.Due to the successful growth of OLS Ltd, we are looking for an enthusiastic, independent, and motivated Security Systems Engineer to be a part of our expanding team. This role will be based in Yorkshire with national travel.What will I be responsible forJoining our team as a Security Systems Engineer, you will provide, Install and Commissioning support on Integrated Access Control, IP CCTV and Intruder projects.You will work across a variety of major projects with blue chip clients across the UK and support our team of Engineers, Project Managers and technical teams whilst providing expert knowledge based around your install and service background. We look forour engineers to have the ability to identify and rectify problems before they occur. Other duties include:

  • Review of system design prior to installation works and highlighting of any apparent technical, functional or compatibility issues
  • Provide the Project Manager with the required level of technical and commissioning support for the duration of the project
  • Ensure the system is installed and functions in accordance with all relevant industry standards and that activities comply with customer and company health and safety procedures
  • Commissioning and configure system to meet the design specification and customer requirements
  • Provide technical troubleshooting expertise and manufacturer liaison when required
  • Conducting project handover and ensuring all relevant documents are passed to the Project Manager
  • Have a good understanding of the SSAIB standards.
  • Ensure Project Engineer/ Supervisor is made aware of developments, problems and other issues affecting the performance of contracts.
  • Deliver Customer training
  • Complete relevant paperwork to meet accreditors & standards on larger projects act as the single point of contact to organise on-site activities
Who are we looking forIf you have proven install experience on large projects within a background in CCTV, Access Control, and Integrated Systems, the role of Security Systems Engineer could be ideal for you. You will also require the following skills and experience:
  • Working knowledge of mainstream Access Control, CCTV systems and networking
  • Ability to manage both internal & external stakeholders at all levels
  • Excellency in verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience
  • CSCS, IPAF and PASMA is advantageous
  • Must meet BS7858 screening requirements
  • Motivated, hardworking, and ambitious.
What we can offer you:As our Security Systems Engineer, you will be offered a salary of between £22,000 - £35,000 per annum dependant on experience plus a range of benefits including:
