Are you looking for the right role for you Then look no further….Restoration & Ecology Manager - NorthSalary - £43,940 - £51,694 per annum (plus benefits)Hours - 37.5 hours per week, 8.30am to 5.00pmLocation - Home BasedThe Restoration and Ecology Manager is responsible for Restoration and Ecology works within their remit, including the health and safety of staff, contractors and visitors to the site, the minimisation of impact to the environment whilst working within thesite, and delivering the restoration programme of works in an efficient and effective manner in line with the annual budget.Our promise to you- 25 days’ annual leave (full-time working) plus Bank Holidays- Pension scheme- Life Insurance- Discretionary bonus scheme- On the job training/progression- Recognition scheme- Flexible benefits including high street savings, cycle to work scheme and Gymflex membership- Access to an Employee Assistance Programme and the Best Doctors ServiceWhat will you be doing- Supporting management of tax information areas, biomass crops, soil imports, planning submissions, contract management and budget control- Supporting the day to day management of the regional landscape contracts- Acting as a liaison on behalf of the Site Business Managers and the site contractors- Undertaking assessments of contractor’s invoices and Health and Safety documentation- Organising and supervising ecological mitigation schemes- Managing any ecology work undertaken- Managing budgets for wildlife and species protection, surveys and wildlife mitigation- Assisting in the preparation of annual restoration budgets- Preparing capital applications for contract works- Assisting in the application for, management and development of the Group’s Environmental Grants- Undertaking the preparation of restoration and aftercare reports and information- Assisting in the design of revised low level or amended restoration schemesWhat are we looking for- Experience in the specification of landscape works and compliance with planning requirements- Experience in the appointment and management of landscape contractors- An understanding of the JCLI Conditions of Contract, NEC3 short contract or similar- Knowledge of Landfill Planning Permissions and tax legislation- Familiarity with Grazing Contracts and a basic understanding of Farm Business Tenancies- A degree or equivalent qualification with a proven track record in a related disciplineAbout UsWe are FCC Environment, one of the nation’s leading waste and resource management companies.
