Job Description

NOT FOR CANDIDATE DISTRIBUTION - PLEASE REFER TO EXTERNAL FOR THIS PURPOSEThis Financial Advisor job in Doncaster provides the opportunity to inherit a client bank and takeover the ongoing financial planning servicing.The business is focused on achieving a high retention of clients and team members, therefore has an inclusive team culture.This is an excellent opportunity, as the client bank provided will typically validate your salary, providing you a strong foundation to build on and motivation to identify and write new business. Often the inherited client banks have rich levels of new businessopportunity.

  • Radiant are active in undertaking acquisitions and will continue to feed new vacancies as they buy out retiring Advisors
  • They currently have 20 Advisors with AuM of £800m (average - £40m AuM each)
  • Average client holdings are £462,000
  • Service propositions range from 0.4% to 1% ongoing fees, with TER’s sub 2%, offering active or passive asset management
  • They are independent
  • The business has their own DFM and is creating a central investment proposition offering a no cost’ platform for new investments or where this is best advice for acquired clients, however no pressure to shoehorn clients into these
  • Each Advisor will inherit a client bank which should validate their salary (therefore the salary range for each vacancy is typically based on the value of the client banks)
  • The Bonus structure is very complicated so best to let Radiant discuss it at interview
To ensure their Financial Advisors are fully supported, they have a 2:1 ratio of back office (including Paraplanners and Administrators) to Financial Advisors. The support includes: appointments booked in your diary, research undertaken, suitability reportswritten and advice designed to your request. Plus, they have a highly efficient back office system.
  • The only thing the Advisor needs to do is sit in front of the client (virtually or in person) and provide great, goal based financial planning
  • All pre and post advice work is provided through their support
  • The Advisor does have ability to request how the Paraplanners design the advice
  • They use Intelligent Office with extra add-ons to make it highly efficient with one touch processing
The business utilises home working with majority of advice provided via video or telephone. During the transition of clients, there may be need to be in their local office to facilitate a smooth handover.
  • In early months, majority of time in Doncaster office to shadow existing Advisor for smooth handover
  • Advisor has autonomy to decide whether to do virtual or in-person meetings, however would be expected to be sensible if the client would benefit from face-to-face
  • For any face-to-face meetings, the Advisor is required to do a lateral flow test and log on the portal and obtain written confirmation from the client they are happy, to ensure they are always protecting their clients
Financial Advisor Requirements
  • You should be a current Financial Advisor with experience of delivering quality client service
  • You should have 3+ years financial planning experience
  • You must be fully Diploma qualified in financial planning
  • You must be enthusiastic for your profession; be forward thinking; do the right thing and actively care for your clients and colleagues
  • Due to nature of the clients for these roles often being HNW, it is important we are submitting quality Advisors
  • They do not want mavericks who are going to rot the apple cart
  • Want a good blend of a farmer who retains inherited clients and hunter who will actively grow the portfolio

Financial Advisor Benefits
