Business Support Officer / Administrator - Public Sector

Job Description

I am currently recruiting for a Business Support Officer (Administrator) to work at a leading public sector organisation based in Doncaster centre (DN1)You will be responsible for delivering comprehensive technical business support functions.Duties and Responsibilities Core responsibilities and duties will include:

  • To be responsible for the operational support for the designated technical business support service
  • Providing high quality business support in setting up and maintaining systems, processing documents, monitoring and maintenance of records
  • Maintaining accurate records both manually and electronically and producing data for statutory returns and/or statistical reports
  • Prepare legal paperwork on behalf of other officers
  • Using the Council’s IT systems to input data, word process letters, memoranda and reports, including work of a confidential nature
  • Dealing with enquiries from the public, officers of the authority and others, ensuring that these are dealt with and appropriate feedback is given
  • Undertaking research, collating findings and summarising information
  • Undertaking financial administration including ordering and processing of invoices using the Council’s financial system
  • Work as part of a unified service supporting the wider team and directorate as required Specialist
Essential skills, knowledge and experience required to fulfil the role include, but are not limited to:
  • Experience of operating administrative processes within a busy office environment
  • Customer service experience
  • Experience of working to tight and conflicting deadlines
  • Experience of working with computers, including with Microsoft Office and databases
  • Ability to undertake research, analyse and collate information
  • Good communication skills
  • Excellent understanding of data protection and security of information principles
The hours of work are full time (37 per week) and an hourly rate of £11.75 (PAYE) is on offer.What Reed can offer you as a temporary employee.
