Job Description

  • Work directly with individuals and families to help them make changes and problem solve. Make a positive difference in peoples lives. Listen, advocate for and work with individuals to feel more empowered and in control of their own life.
Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Assessing clients’ mental health needs and developing treatment plans
  • Providing individual and group therapy, crisis intervention, case management, client advocacy, prevention, and education
  • Collaborating with other professionals in health, social care, housing, employment, and other sectors to coordinate and integrate services for clients
  • Safeguarding the rights and welfare of clients and their families, especially those who are at risk of harm or discrimination
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of the work done with clients, using the relevant systems and tools
  • Participating in regular supervision, training, and team meetings, and contributing to the continuous improvement of the service
  • Adhering to the professional standards, codes of practice, and ethical principles of social work.
Knowledge & Skills:
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies and procedures
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A commitment to person-centred and strength-based practice
  • A flexible and adaptable approach to work
  • A willingness to learn and develop your skills
Experience:
  • Relevant post-qualification experience in adults social work within a statutory, voluntary, or independent sector organisation.
Qualifications:
  • CQSW / DIPSW / Degree in Social Work or equivalent.
Special Conditions:
  • Registration with SWE
  • Must be a driver with own car
