Network Engineer£30,000 - £40,000South Yorkshire/ Hybrid workingInteraction IT are proud to be partnering with a leading retail / wholesale business in South Yorkshire.As part of my clients continued success and growth, they now have immediate requirements for a Network Engineer to join their expanding team.The business is located within close commute of the M1 and M62 links together with free on-site parking and flexible working arrangements.The roleReporting to the Principle Architect, you will be providing technical expertise in maintaining and monitoring my clients IT estate.As a technical member of the IT team you will have extensive experience of Linux and Windows environments, you will have a sound knowledge of writing automation scripts in either Bash, Python or Shell.Any knowledge of working with cloud-based solutions such as OVH / AWS would be highly desirable as my client is looking to move to AWS later in the year.Key responsibilities: At least 2 years experience in a similar discipline - implementing changes, support and manage internal IT infrastructure, networking and security, firewalls, virtual and cloud infrastructure Experienced working on Linux Administration / UNIX experience Contribute to and create installation instructions and deployment strategies, including test and validation plans Liaise with development teams, other territories and 3rd parties supporting the IT infrastructure Deliver projects to and within defined processes, best practices and frameworks, including quality system procedures, and participate in continuous improvement activity, to drive process improvement, elimination of waste, time savings and cost reductions Deployment and configuration of infrastructure Excellent Network experience with Container Management (i.e. Docker, Kubernetes) Change management projects around Linux administration Have experience of Virtualisation technologies such as Proxmox / VMware Solid experience of Active Directory (essential) Batch scheduling and monitoringDesirable skills: Red Hat Linux - building, installing, configuring and troubleshooting MySQL Databases Exposure and working knowledge of Systems Monitoring tools Network Information Security Automated configuration tools such as Ansible or Terraform DevOps experience / CI/CD & build toolsIn return, my client offers fantastic development opportunities to further develop and learn new skills, working with using the latest technology, this is a hands on role with a flexible working environment, competitive salary, free parking and excellentcompany benefits.Please submit interested CVs to and I will then give you a call to discuss in more detail.
