The RoleThis exciting role is brand new and will allow the successful candidate to define, shape and lead an IT testing team to ensure that we deliver great digital systems which are safe and which meet the needs of our clinical and operational staff as well as our donors and patients.Reporting directly into the Head of the Blood Systems product centre, the job holder will be responsible for- Building a new team and establishing ways of working across new functions including automation, Systems Integration and Testing (SIT) and defect management- Ensuring the quality of application changes, including strategies, tooling, resourcing and processes- Provide professional direction to the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) function- Team leadership and establishing resources to create a testing centre of excellence with a strong collaborative team culture- Working with our partners (internal and external) to produce high quality software and encourage a culture of continuous improvementThis is a great opportunity to really lead on transformational change in our testing function and to put your leadership, experience and enthusiasm to help save and improve lives.About UsWe are a specialised trust within the NHS and our mission is to help save and improve lives.We are responsible for blood transfusion services across England and organ and tissue transplantation services across the UK.
