Occupational Therapist Ditchingham, NorfolkSalary dependent on experienceThis is an exciting opportunity to join an award winning team working within the field of specialist brain injury rehabilitation. Our client currently cater for a male client base specialising in neurological conditions across various sites, with a total of 100 beds and has recently been awarded an "Outstanding" status by CQC. They are a leading provider of services for male adults, their services provide assessment and active rehabilitation, community rehabilitation houses and long stay/maintenance placements. With a comprehensive team of clinical and therapy staff ensuring the rehabilitation is individualised and appropriate to the needs of each resident.The Role of the Occupational TherapistAs a Occupational Therapist you will join a multi-professional Therapy Team. You would be part of a large, dynamic and supportive team that includes Occupational Therapy, Speech and Language Therapy, Psychology, Horticultural Therapy and Nursing.This is a unique opportunity for an Occupational Therapist to develop their skills within a conscientious, hard working and supportive team, allowing creativity and autonomy within their work.Expectations of the Occupational TherapistThe successful applicant should have a desire to develop their knowledge and skills in the field of brain injury rehabilitation. The role would ideally suit an Occupational Therapist, who has experience of working with individuals with complex needs and experience of working with people with neurological conditions is desirable.The successful applicant will be confident when managing challenging behaviour, have manual handling experience and have knowledge of mobility equipment needs. The post holder will be expected to manage a caseload of clients with acquired brain injuries and in conjunction with other members of the multi professional Therapy Team, form comprehensive assessment of need and develop Occupational Therapy intervention plans.HCPC registration is essential.The successful applicant must be a car driver due to the community aspects of this role.Company Benefits
