Job Description

Technical Manager - £40,000 to £45,000 DOE - Norfolk/Suffolk Boarder - Permanent - Monday to Friday - 8.30am till 5.00pmHales Group are recruiting for our successful client based on the Norfolk and Suffolk border. The successful candidate will be responsible for reporting installation compliance with project/contract standards. Working across a number of teams helping toachieve best practice and inform installation standards.As part of the PMO team this role will be central to the delivery of complex construction projects, ensuring compliance with client requirements. The role will involve close working with Commercial, Engineering, Design, Project Managers, Quantity Surveyorsand Directors, including external partners.The aim is to ensure that from concept and through construction, technical requirements are defined and audited.Key duties and responsibilities:

  • Assesses site installations meet technical standards
  • Works with Project and Contract managers reviewing install standards
  • Work with internal and external designers to ensure lessons learnt
  • Ensure the technical compliance reports meet requirements
  • Provide toolbox talks to inform site staff of standards
  • Support projects across the UK
  • This will be operating and reporting to senior level within Aspiration Facades
Essential
  • Degree qualified or relevant experienced
  • Demonstratable skill in reading construction drawings
  • Experience of CAD software
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Proficient in the use of the Microsoft suite, including Office and Project.
  • Understanding of model form contracts (JCT/MF1/NEC etc)
  • Strong communication skills including writing reports and presenting
  • Excellent problem-solving and negotiating skills
  • The ability to absorb complex information and assess requirements readily
  • Able to read construction programmes
  • Ability to liaise with site teams, external parties and contractors
  • Experience of working in a quality led environment, with full adherence to systems and procedures, and a focus on continual improvement for all Aspiration projects
  • Ability to identify, monitor, mitigate and manage technical issues and compliance
  • A full UK driving licence
Desirable
  • Ideally possess experience, or an understanding of the principles of building Facades
  • Experienced in working as a sub-contractor to Tier 1 organisations.
