Training availableThe Oaksmere is a lovingly restored country house, set in 17 acres of Suffolk parkland just outside of the market town of Eye, Diss. Boasting a Victorian walled kitchen garden, which is at the heart of our menus, alongside an on-site butchery, we are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated chefs of all levels to join the existing kitchen team.We have a range of dining areas including a public house, three private dining rooms, a spacious terrace with childrens play area, and a bright orangery style restaurant with open pas. We also have an event marquee where we host a range of weddings and private events.We are able to offer flexible hours to work, including a mixture of daytime prep shifts and evenings/weekend shifts in service. We believe in simple, honest food cooked well, with our main emphasis being on home and locally grown produce, locally reared and slaughtered meats, and seasonal, high quality produce. Alongside our menu you will also have the option to be creative with specials and working with the head chef to bring your own ideas into our current concept.The Role:Responsible to the Head Chef for the efficient running of the kitchen.
