Job Description

Solicitor / Lawyer (Wills and Probate)Location: Diss or Harleston, NorfolkSalary: Very compititive + Excellent BenefitsThe Client:Our client is a well-established legal firm with an excellent team of legal professionals dedicated to addressing diverse legal requirements.The Role:As a Solicitor / Lawyer in Wills and Probate team, you will efficiently manage and oversee client files within the Wills and Probate department.Duties:

  • Draft will document and manage probate administration.
  • Provide expert advice on Inheritance Tax and offer guidance on Capital Gains Tax.
  • Supervise Lasting Powers of Attorney cases and oversee Enduring Powers of Attorney matters.
  • Handle the creation and execution of Living wills.
  • Administer various trusts and address legal matters related to the Court of Protection.
  • Ensure the department consistently meets deadlines and fulfils client expectations in alignment with departmental objectives.
  • Contribute to the development of marketing strategies for the firm and department.
  • Adhere to firm policies related to money laundering and other risk management aspects, following the SRA Code of Conduct, and promptly report any breaches to the COLP.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working as a Solicitor, Lawyer or in a similar role.
  • Track record of managing caseload of private client matters, such as wills, estate administration, powers of attorney, and Court of Protection affairs.
  • Outstanding client care and service skills.
