Job Description

John Ashley are pleased to be recruiting a number of key production vacancies for this major manufacturing company and this is due to a significant upturn in business over the last 6 months.This role is to support the production operatives with the completion of documentation, following specifications, job descriptions, quality assurance and Health & Safety. You must have a clear and concise delivery of the English language as this is working with a multi national workforce.Key Responsibilities

  • To complete paperwork and tasks associated with producing product on line to the correct specification and customer requirements.
  • To observe, record, adjust and correct any product or processes in order to maintain adherence to specification, quality and advise production operatives at all times.
  • To support Compliance Auditors, Line Leaders and QA Supervisor in their role to maintain standards, behaviour and practices at all times.
  • He/she is also responsible for ensuring the health & safety and welfare of colleagues working on the shop floor within his/hers area.
  • To ensure that products meet customer specifications.
  • Report all necessary matters to the Compliance auditor and Line leader ensuring that he/she is fully aware of relevant production, personnel, quality and MHS issues.
  • To undertake such ad hoc duties as may be required in order to benefit the business.
  • Check quality and adherence to specification of finished product
  • Ensure all product adheres to specification on product quality, labelling etc.
  • To carry out pre production and hygiene checks.
    • Competencies
  • Preferably experience in a production and technical environment or similar
  • Ability to execute and implement change as necessary to ensure the continued profitability of the department
  • Intermediate Food Hygiene
  • Health & Safety training
  • People management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Problem solving skills
  • Able to enforce conformance.
    • The working hours as follows: Monday - Friday 6am - 6pm Total 60 hours.From June to November which is the harvesting season the hours will be 4 days 6am - 6pm, 2 days off then then 4 nights 6pm - 6am then 2 days off.
