Job Description

Senior Buyer (FTC)Glass & Steel IndustryDiss, Norfolk£Highly CompetitiveMonday - Friday, (Flexible working hours)We are currently looking for a Senior Buyer, to be responsible for the procurement function, including technical buying. You will work closely with the Project delivery team and Design team on UK and International projects. You will also be responsible forensuring the quality requirements for goods, working to project delivery deadlines and budgets, and procuring stock and overhead items as and when needed.This is a fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave for 18-24 months.Key Benefits:

The Candidate:
  • Strong Buying background, preferably in architectural steels or membrane materials.
  • You must be dynamic and able to work well in a team.
  • Strong negotiation skills and market knowledge.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, with great attention to detail.
  • Great analytical skills to make informed purchasing decisions.
  • Experience with international buying, import/export.
  • Experience of reviewing systems of work.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Raising purchase orders and assisting in the resolution of any disputes with suppliers
  • Arranging, procuring, and coordinating plant and equipment hire for projects.
  • Sending out enquiries for materials and plant requirements, and collating and reviewing quotations
  • Evaluating submitted quotations using objective criteria.
  • Processing all incoming invoices from Accounts which do not align with purchase order values.
