Job Title:Production OperativeLocation: DissTechnique Recruitment Solutions are working with our client based on the outskirts of Norwich who are Industrys leading manufacturers and suppliers of superior quality air conditioning, ventilation, fire and smoke protection systems.MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB:To undertake a range of production activities as a Production Operative within a Heating, Ventilation Air Conditioning (HVAC) manufacturing environment.Qualifications and Experience:CNC experience and Machine Shop experience required. (Turret press, brake press, panel bender)Nesting and Radan skills desirable.A good level of computer skills required.Knowledge and Skills:An acceptable level of certification or knowledge to allow the job holder to carry out their relevant tasksAn understanding of the Health and Safety regulations applicable to the work areaLiterate and numerate in both written and spoken EnglishMAIN DUTIES:As Production Operative you may be asked to work in any part of the Production areas and carry out any manufacturing activities for which the individual is trained or is capable of doingTo give and receive training as requiredTo positively and proactively ensure the Health and Safety of oneself and all other employees in accordance with company policies and proceduresTo positively and proactively ensure on time manufacture and on time delivery performance in the work areaTo positively and proactively strive to improve productivity (labour efficiency) in the work areaTo work to continuously improve housekeeping and 5S standardsTo work to continuously improve safety standardsTo work continuously to improve material efficiencyTo work continuously to improve product quality and customer service qualityTo constructively and positively support the managers with continuous improvement initiativesTo work within manual handling guidelinesWorking Hours:38 hours per week The job role will involve working an alternating two shift system. Monday to Thursday 06:00 am to 14:30 pm and 14:15pm to 22:45pmFriday: 06:00 am to 12:00pm and 11:45 am to 17:45pmWhen working shift there is a 20% shift allowance - pay rate £13.20, after successful probation there would be an additional uplift to pay rate depending on grade
