Job Description

MacKenzie King are excited to be recruiting a Management Accountant for a market leading manufacturer, based in North Suffolk. As a Management Accountant you will work closely with the Financial Controller in producing effective management accounts, and also work closely with the Manufacturing Manager on developing KPI’s, stock and variance analysis, and supporting withongoing continuous improvement projects. This is a varied role and forms a part of the business’ long-term strategic plan.Duties & Responsibilities

  • To work with the Financial Controller to gain a detailed understanding of the management accounts structure to ensure accurate reporting of transactions across the Company.
  • To complete the month end balance sheet reconciliations.
  • To report on the Sales and Orders generated each month as part of the month end processing.
  • To process month end Accruals and Prepayments for the company and ensure relevant backup and calculations are available on request.
  • To complete the management accounts and variance analysis of the Direct and Indirect cost centres of the Company.
  • To assist the Financial Controller in developing performance KPIs and Equipment Efficiency analysis to aid in driving Factory performance.
  • To assist in the administration of the Manufacturing Time and Attendance System.
  • To participate in the development and use of the ERP systems within the Finance team to drive continuous improvement in processes and practices.
  • To participate in supporting the annual audit.
  • To participate in the creation of a culture of continuous change through automation and the establishment of clear procedures for routine tasks.
  • To participate in the development of a procedural and systems-based approach to information that produces delivered product consistency and repeatability.
  • To ensure compliance to relevant accounting and regulatory standards.
  • To participate and support other functions within the Finance team to allow it to achieve its performance and developmental targets.
Key Skills & Attributes
  • Minimum of AAT Qualified
  • The ability to work using your own initiative, good administrative skills and with very high attention to detail.
  • The ability to manage conflicting priorities to meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrate self-motivation and organisation.
  • Excellent communication, organisational and motivational skills.
  • Computer proficient skills including MS Office Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Microsoft Teams.
  • Proven experience of operating in a variety of industries.
  • Ability to produce reports and present information in a clear and professional way.
  • Proven experience of working with complex spreadsheet models and knowledge of accounting for manufacturing.
  • Previous experience or understanding of business system development is desirable.
Benefits
  • The scheme is a contributory scheme, with the employee contributing 4% of earnings and the Company contributing 4% of earnings. Company contributions increase to 6% after 5 years’ service and 7% after 10 years’ service.
