IT MANAGER Our client are looking for an IT Manager will have a hands-on approach to IT covering a variety of responsibilities from providing IT support internally, implementing new systems, driving change and strategy in the IT Department, sourcing hardware and software,project management and liaison with stakeholders. Responsible for the management, coaching and development of the IT Support Technician.Role and Responsibilities:Network administration, fault finding and support. Plan, organise, control and evaluate the companys IT and Data operations.Develop plans, strategies and budgets to ensure the company IT infrastructure is kept secure and up to date at all times.Ensuring the companys digital data is secure and backed up on-premise and replicated offsite.Must have proven experience supporting and maintaining Windows Server/Desktop OS, Microsoft 365 Admin portal including admin centres for Security, Compliance, Exchange. Sharepoint, Teams, Azure AD, DNS, DHCP and Group Policy.Previous experience managing and monitoring perimeter gateways, firewalls, remote access gateways, core network switches.Diagnosing and resolving IT technical issues at 1st, 2nd and 3rd line.Setting targets and monitoring budgets in conjunction with the Operations Director and in accordance with the business process and Company requirements.Monitoring and managing the day-to-day activities of the departments under their control.Control and monitoring of company IT and telephone equipment at all company sites including any IT equipment supplied to field-based or off-site personnel. Ensure the company IT inventory and asset marking are maintained.Ensuring agreed management targets and objectives are met for the IT department.Coach and mentor the IT Support Technician, arrange any training of departmental members to meet business or legal requirements. Making sure that all staff under their responsibility receive the correct and adequate training to perform their tasks and thatthe training remains current and relevant.Measurement of staff performance including completion of company periodic employee assessments.Review and improve the departmental processes and procedures to ensure that they meet the companys needs which will include planning and controlling change. Ensuring staff are familiar with these processes and that they are followed accordingly.Researching and recommending new technologies and processes to improve efficiencies and minimize waste.Ensure that the IT systems and infrastructure are adequate and robust.Making sure that the company is not exposed to undue risk or issues from equipment of software obsolescence or by external cyber-attacks.Manage relationships with key vendors and service providers to ensure viability and best practices are maintained.Ensure compliance with ISO standards.Preferable Experience and Qualifications:Sage 200 Finance/ManufacturingPayrollAutodesk Vault ProfessionalAutodesk Products.Ubiquiti Unifi Wi-Fi solution.Ubuntu, Apache Webservers, Databases (MySQL, MSSQL)Technique Recruitment Solutions are a specialist Engineering Recruitment Company based in Norfolk
