Job Description

Import/Export Administrator / Diss, Norfolk / £21,000 per annum / Full time / PermanentThe Import / Export Administrator is responsible for liaising between the sales teams, customers, purchasing team, vendors and transport companies to ensure an efficient operational service is provided for European and Global shipments both outbound andinbound.Hours are: Monday to Friday, 8.45am to 5.15pm, with 1 hour lunch break.Opportunity to work 3 days office based and 2 days home based after a successful completion of probation.Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the export process from start to finish.
  • Use the most appropriate method of communication to ensure all parties are dealt with in the most time efficient and proactive manner.
  • Liaise with customers (internal and external) to obtain all required correct information to deliver a successful export service.
  • Liaise with Customers, all Operational Departments and Carriers to ensure all documents are received within the designated time frame.
  • Prepare and check accuracy of all Export paperwork prior to Order dispatch.
  • Provide transport companies with the relevant information to ensure customer delivery requirements are met.
  • Liaise between Carriers and their Agents to obtain up to date shipment information.
  • Ensure customers are fully informed of the progress of their shipments.
  • Any other duties as required by management for the smooth and efficient operation of the Import/Export and Logistics department.
  • Manage Import documents appropriately for auditing purposes
  • Carry out internal audits to meet HMRC requirements
