Our client is a longstanding designer and manufacturer of glass rooflights. They are currently looking for an Assembly Operative to join their tight-knit team. Do you have experience in production/assembly Do you have experience working with hand tools Are you able to work towards targets If so, this could be the perfect role for you!You will produce finished roof lights to company schedules and drawings, while maintaining excellent housekeeping and following the companys ISO 9001 2015 quality policy.Responsibilities*To operate machinery*To assemble all variants of the Glazing Vision product rangeSkills required*Must be able to use hand tools*Must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings*Excellent time management skills*Be able to work on own initiative*Able to work in a target driven environmentDesirable*Forklift license*Abrasive wheelsOverall Role or Purpose of the job:*Operate production machinery to create parts and sub-assemblies for final assembly into roof lights*Make recommendations for improvement in process or products as appropriate*Ensure work area is tidy and organised*Store products and components in such way as not to lead to damage, defects or a safety hazard*Carry out any reasonable request given by Line SupervisorEssential -*Good verbal and written English*Good understanding of Health & Safety procedures/practiceFull-time/Monday to Friday/ 37.5 hours per week/ 07:30 am 3:30 pmAdditional pay:Bonus schemeBenefits:Company eventsCompany pensionOn-site parkingStore discountsWellness programmesAbility to commute/relocate:Diss, IP22 4RG: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)Experience:Production & Assembly Occupations: 1 year (required)To be considered for the Assembly Operative role, please apply today.
