Job Description

I am sourcing on behalf of my client, a large housing group in Greater Manchester, Yorkshire & Lancashire, an experiencedResales and Staircasing Officer to join their Property Management Sales Team on an ongoing basis. This role will initially be a contract, however, there is a potential to secure a permanent placement for the right candidate,Reporting to the Sales Manager, the Specialist Resales and Staircasing Officer will provide a professional front line service tocustomers who want to re-sell or staircase their shared ownership property. The role is also responsible for processing leaseextensions, repossessions and freehold sales. The role provides specialist support and knowledge of shared ownership sales andtransfer processes to the Sales team and provides a specialist advice service to other areas of the business and external partnersin connection with home ownership. This role supports and guides other colleagues in the Sales team, particularly thoseresponsible for divestment sales.My client is a modern, forward-looking profit-for-purpose organisation.   • To provide a specialist and professional service tocustomers and colleagues in respect of shared ownership resales and staircasing, lease extension and assignment, repossession, freehold sales services and processes.
  • Carry out redemption of open market home buy applications.
  • All sales transactions to be completed in line with legal, contractual and regulatory requirements and best practice.
  • To explain complex procedures and legal terms and processing systems to customers and applicants.
  • To offer expertise guidance and advice to the other team members and colleagues regarding shared ownership and other property sales in general on behalf of the client.
  • To ensure all enquiries and purchasers receive excellent customer service.
  • To work towards theteam targets ensuring all procedures and processes are followed.
    • You will have:
  • Relevant experience having delivered a resales service and processed Right to Acquire and Right to Buy sales within the housing sector.
  • Detailed specialist knowledge is a necessity.
  • Knowledge of leasehold sales and shared ownership legislation and procedures within the Capital Funding Guide.
  • Ability to complete tasks in an accurate and timely manner when working under pressure.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Good written and verbal communication.
  • Effective liaison with staff/other stakeholders to give information/find information/resolveproblems.
  • Organisation and ability to time-manage work load.
  • Able to deliver a high standard of customer service.
