Procurement OfficerFull-time | Permanent | £20,776 - £22,499 per annumAn opportunity has arisen in the Colleges finance team for a Procurement Officer.This post holder is responsible for leading a small team to deliver high quality reporting and compliance in the procurement of goods and services to assist in the delivery of substantial value for money and efficiency savings.The procurement officer will be responsible for the efficient day-to-day operational management of the procurement function for the college, as well as keeping under review the procurement strategy and action plan.A key role for the post holder is to develop and promote appropriate purchasing arrangements including the use of consortia, shared arrangements and collaborative purchasing etc. and to assist with tender exercises.Candidates will be required to demonstrate an ability to work under their own initiative and must have excellent customer and communication skills and be able to organise and develop the team.Whilst previous procurement experience would be an advantage, the post would suit someone with previous experience in a purchase ledger setting, looking to develop skills in procurement practices.
