Job Description

Our client is one of the UKs largest and most successful construction and infrastructure companies, currently recruiting for a Logistics Manager, to work on a high profile, nuclear facilities upgrade in Devon,Duties include:

  • Preparing and submitting RAMS for all tasks being carried out within the attached Scope to the client.
  • Ensure RAMS are adhered to at all times. Ensure all required resources are on site ready for use.
  • Ensure CDM boundary fence line remains in good condition as per the manufacturers guidelines and water levels are always kept to a maximum
  • Plan and manage all works detailed within this Scope and Works instructed by the Client to ensure the safe running of the site.
  • Assist the Client with the planning and controlling of other works within the project for deliveries and maintaining access routes to workplaces. Attend daily and weekly DABS and co-ordination meetings as and when required by the Client.
  • Daily walking and checking the site picking up and fixing as many issues as possible alongside the Client site supervisor/construction manager before they are raised to the Client.
Requirements for the role:* A successful track record in managing project logistical requirements within a construction, or construction related environment* Be able to clearly communicate the requirements of a safe system of work to ensure that these are followed accurately, and experience in implementing systems improvements* Capability of taking ownership of tasks and communicating outcomes with clarity; experienced at encouraging direct reports to do the same and managing a team to ensure tasks are carried out effectively and key messages cascaded* CSCS Card and SMSTS qualified* Excellent team player and team leader* Able and willing to make decisions following consideration of options based on best available information; track record of solution orientated approach to resolve issues * Strong communication skills with good interpersonal and influencing skills* Excellent role model for team and demonstrates required behaviours to align to business, project and team objectives* Team management experience* Possess Security Clearance / Have the ability to obtain clearanceSkyBlue is an equal opportunity employer.
