Title: Transport ManagerSalary: £55,000 + Location: PinxtonWe are working with a unique logistics company based in Alfreton who are going through a growth period and are looking to hire a Transport Manager. This role sits highly within their organisation and does require the successful Candidate to have their InternationalCPC qualification. The business work with a lot of well-recognised brands and have over 100 vehicles in their fleet. You will be required to:* Manage a European logistics operation* Manage the performance of your departments, liaise with the Logistics management team and other functional areas to ensure exceptional service is provided to our customers and operational queries are resolved in a timely and effective manner* Work to deliver exceptional performance across the key metrics and KPI measures for the department, in line with our functional and organisational goals and objectives * Monitor and manage internal systems, ensuring annual leave and attendance records are maintained accurately* Manager and monitor fleet compliance, ensuring any issues/ defects are resolved effectively * Be proactive, owning and governing root cause analysis whilst identifying and implementing proposed improvement solutions* Help drive a continuous improvement culture to achieve optimal performance * Lead, coach and develop your teams to ensure that the management team have the skills and capabilities required to be leaders* Hold regular reviews and briefing meetings with your management team to strengthen engagement and support development* Create a robust succession plan across the function, and ensure this is cascaded down to all our Colleagues* Act as a key member of the Logistics management team by actively demonstrating the standards, behaviours and values to drive team effectiveness across the business* Achieve operational excellence by ensuring that your departmental areas consistently meet the agreed service levels and standards* Help to shape the controls and measures that the Logistics operation adheres to, to ensure continued operational improvements* Ensure careful planning of your departmental areas to optimise cost effectivenessIf this is you, please apply without delay!Processing Your DataBis Henderson Recruitment is a leading provider of recruitment, interim management and consultancy services to the supply chain and logistics industry.
