Job Description

The CompanyWe are excited to be assisting a national earthmoving company with a reputation for being innovative and highly professional, in finding a new Senior Transport Planner, based in their Head Office in Derbyshire.The Role - Senior Transport PlannerReporting to the Transport Manager, the new Senior Transport Planner will liaise with customer, customer services, yard managers and directors. Responsibilities include:

  • Planning 21 Road Sweeper vehicles
  • Minimising costs - maximising revenue
  • Producing job tickets and consignment notes for drivers
  • Updating the bespoke system
  • Providing excellent customer service both telephone and email queries
  • Processing and updating a number of spreadsheets.
  • Liaising with drivers using In the house tracking system.
The HoursMonday - Friday7:30am - 5:30pm1 Saturday per monthThe PerksEarly finish on a FridayBonusesExcellent Promotion OpportunitiesThe Right CandidateThe candidates who will be considered for interview, for the role of Senior Transport Planner will be able to demonstrate the following on their CV:
  • A minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role
  • Experience in vehicle route planning
  • Experience of the construction industry
  • Excellent computer skills
  • MS Excel Proficiency
  • A strong understanding of the legal requirements regarding Driving Hours and Working Time
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Daily commutable to Alfreton
