ForgeSolutions is now looking to recruit new a new Quality Technician to join the expanding, developing quality team based at Darley Dale in Derbyshire.DescriptionAs the new Quality Technician, you will be based at the Derbyshire site to provide Quality Engineering and systems support for Operations and Quality/Technical departments by ensuring that products and processes are maintained in line with business and customerrequirements. Has the ability to respond to the needs of the business and embrace change. Heavily involved in Teamwork and Continuous Improvement.Key Tasks and Accountabilities

• Carrying Out Technical Department transactions in Tropos - business management system.
• Manage tracking and reporting of the daily/weekly/monthly quality metrics.
• Support the management of the Specification Control System.
• Perform internal and external audits of our business and sub-contract base.
• Co-ordinate internal and customer quality/technical reports as required.
• Manage Vision Screening Requirements for Technical/Inspection personnel.
• Manage Sub-Tier Supplier Approvals.
• To carry out inspection quality control activities involved in delivering continuous improvement in product quality and business objectives.
• Assist with investigation and resolution of external non-conformances (RCCAs).
• Implement and monitor robust actions using a DMAIC / 8D process.
• Use of internal non-conformance database to analyse trends and liaise with the continuous improvement team to implement improvement activities.
• Participate in and support product and process continuous improvement activities based on a range of tools and techniques.
• Preparation of concession requests and FAIR documentation including use of customer specific portals.
• Prepare internal and customer reports as required.
• To review new and amended Customer and Regulatory specifications.
• Conduct Gauge R & R studies on people and processes.
• Support activities involving visual inspection, dimensional inspection, CMM and Faro arm reporting.
• Support the team with documentation control and promotion in the document control system.
• To operate within the company standards relating to Quality, Environment, Health and Safety.

• Academic qualifications (i.e. HNC / ONC / Degree).
• Experience in similar industry would be advantageous.
• Knowledge of OEM technical requirements would be advantageous.
• Alternatively, appropriate demonstrable experience will be considered.

Job OfferSalary will be £20,000 to £26,000 per year, with standard working hours per week will be 37 hours per week. The position is required to work such hours as necessary in order to satisfactorily perform the role.
