Michael Page Manufacturing are supporting a growing materials manufacturing business based in Derbyshire. The business is looking at growing its HSEQ compliance team and are looking for a Environmental Compliance Manager. The role is key for the businessas they look to drive better procedures across their systems and trace-ability - its a new position for the organisation!Client DetailsMichael Page Manufacturing are supporting a growing materials manufacturing business based in Derbyshire. The business is looking at growing its HSEQ compliance team and are looking for a Environmental Compliance Manager. The role is key for the businessas they look to drive better procedures across their systems and trace-ability - its a new position for the organisation!The business is expanding at a exciting pace but understand the need to strengthen their Environmental knowledge and are committed to be a market leader in their field.DescriptionThe Environmental Compliance Manager will be an integral part of the HSEQ compliance team. They will be pivotal in driving all ISO standards 9001, 45001 &14001. They will also be expected to:

  • Ensure that all requirements of the Environment policies and standards are met by the business through coaching, influencing and supporting the site management team
  • They will be the business CIWM (WAMITAB) holder
  • Monitor standards and audit requirements to ensure compliance, as well as highlight areas of non-compliance and demonstrate a proactive problem-solving approach (RCA) to resolve any areas of non-compliance
  • Undertake environmental monitoring and liaise with the Environment Agency when required
  • To maintain an up-to-date awareness of environmental legislation, industry standards and the Companys policies and procedures
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies with regard to environmental standards and host external audits as required
  • Manage on site QC and environmental meetings and attend external group meetings where appropriate.
  • To collate monthly/weekly environmental reports.
  • Support with document control, corrective and preventative action and trend analysis.
ProfileThe successful candidate will have:
  • Extensive knowledge of Environmental legislation and best practice
  • Attained or workings towards CIWM (WAMITAB) certification - Essential
  • highly knowledge of ISO Management standards (ISO9001 ISO45001 and ISO14001)
  • A background in a waste management, materials process or a manufacturing environment
  • A proven track record working at an operational level and in a strategic role
  • High IT and systems competency
  • An ability and confidence to influence and engage at all levels.
  • A drive and passionate individual to help further develop an already positive culture
Job Offer£50,000-£65,000 plus benefits
